Hoarding behaviors can be a bit more complex than some might imagine. We understand that it is vital to approach hoarding with care. What are the Stages of Hoarding?

  • Hoarding Stage One: There's not a lot of clutter, all the stairways and doors are open, there aren't any scents, and the house is seen as clean and safe.

  • Hoarding Stage Two: Two or more rooms filled with clutter, a blocked exit, pet waste, light aromas, overflowing trash cans, light mildew in kitchens and bathrooms, and a minimal indication of housekeeping.

  • Hoarding Stage Three: Inaccessible bedrooms or bathrooms, excessive dust, unsanitary kitchen areas, pungent scents throughout the house, an excessive number of pets, and obvious clutter outside.

  • Hoarding Stage Four: Sewer backup, unsafe electrical connections, bug infestation, spoiling food, and pet damage to the home.

  • Hoarding Stage Five: Inaccessible kitchen and bathrooms, pest infestation, human and animal waste, disconnected water, and/or electoral services.

Considering hoarding behaviors can be extensive and diverse, it's crucial to handle hoarding cleanup with empathy and comprehension. Based on the hoarding stage, our team of qualified professionals follows safety procedures and removal protocol.
